The post office makes me want to scream

Do they play kick ball with packages now?

I ordered a new knitting bag.  I bought it at 2am after the bag envy set in while looking at everyone's in the ravelry Knitting Bag Lust group.

I'm hoping to try a new church on Sunday.  That is if I can wake up in time since I'm on nights still.

My vaccum cleaner belt broke this morning while I was trying to vaccum.  A house with three dogs and a cat with a vaccum out of order is enough to make one person scream.

Fabric

I wrote earlier about buying a kit for the birdie sling & yesterday I got it! :) I'm glad the green and blue honeycomb is going to be the lining, but the other two I really really like :) I can't decide if the flowers should be the bottom of the purse or the handles.  In the front you can see the flowers are the bottom part, but on the back of the pattern the circles are the body of the bag and the flowers are the handles.

hot molten lava

is flowing through my veins. i feel like someone saw me on the side of the road ran over me then poured lava in my body to replace blood. I'm serious. so my grandma sent me another box, and yet again something is broken. it looks like they kick the boxes around before they deliver them. I'm at work again, and won't be off for another 10 hrs /cry.

Knitting Again & Vista Can't Remember S**t

So many pregnant people it seems like.  In the news on the web in my building at work.  Pregnant people are taking over the world.

So anyway one of my friends at work is pregnant and I decided it would be the perfect time to start up a knitting project.  Saarte's Bootees were the first to come to mind since Bekka gave them such good reviews many months ago, and again when I asked her what the name of the pattern was again.  Of course I realized I was a dooh doooh head and went to ravelry and found her projects and the name of the bootees before she probably ever got the email.  :) Ravelry...just one more way to stalk our favorite knitters.  So I cast on a few minutes ago when I got an email and got side tracked.  I cast on with some Noro, and these will basically be for looks and help me to get a hang of the pattern.  I don't have any buttons for them yet since I'm not a button horder I duno when I'l make the time to go get some. :)

I'm on night shift now and i'm not sure if you realize what sucks about night shift but let me tell you...

1.  Night shift sucks bc you have to get use to it before you can stay awake...trying to stay awake is an exhausting and frustrating experience.

2.  The person replacing you might be late which means you'll be even longer getting home even though you got there and let them leave 15 minutes early.

3.  The dogs are ready to go and play by the time you drag your tired body through the door.  They want to go outside then spend the day playing.

4.  People call you during the day because they don't realize you're trying to  hold on to sleep as much as possible.

Night shift is fabulous though because there are few people around at work, and when you get home you can fall asleep because there are no tv shows to keep you awake.  It is also fabulous because you can lounge around all day and THEN have to go to work.  I've had 3 hrs of sleep a nap is on my wish list.

Vista keeps reminding me when I go from a secure location on the web to a non secure.  I say don't tell me this again.  The next time it tells me again.  I click in the internet options not to warn me, but yet it still warns me every other page.  DRIVES.ME.BATTY!

I started reading The Thirteenth Tale last night, and so far I really like it. I didn't get very far because sometimes reading relaxes me so much I fall asleep.  :-\

I wish someone would tell Jessica Simpson that just because she is going for country music now she doesn't need to look ridiculous.  Someone give her the memo please stating cut off demin shorts and her country picnic top are making her look crazy.

The car the fabric the traffic

So today at lunch I'm backing out of my parking spot when I hit a car.  I didn't see it not even after I pulled up.  Apparently it was hidden by my 3rd row.  The driver said it could be buffed out and not to worry about it.  Totally cool.

I found an Amy Butler pattern while surfing the good old internets and really really liked it.  So I started trying to find the exact fabric on the cover.  Couldn't until of course after I bought the fabric for the same purse only its the colors from the inside.  Birdie Sling is the bag, and I bought the pattern plus fabrics on etsy.  I still need to get additional materials and take my sewing table/Andy's old computer desk upstairs...oh yea and finish painting that too.  :) I hope to start it next week because it really is a cute bag.  AND I don't have any blue bags so that is fun too!  wehee!

Since moving into the new house I've found a new way to work...may take longer or maybe its the same...doesn't matter because traffic is a 1/3 of what it is the other way.  I.HATE.TRAFFIC.

I've been thinking of what to knit lately since I haven't knit anything in forever.  I could go back to knitting a project I started a year and a half ago. :)  but really what i want to knit I have to take the yarn from hanks to balls manually and it just isn't fun.

Foxy got shocked today while I was watering our Japanese Maple...while I do not want them to be shocked I am glad it prevents them from running into the street.

The one where feet are injured

020

The pups love love love to play in the water.  With the water hose, in the sprinkler, or any other way as long as it doesn't include dealing with thunder and lightning they're having fun.  Great times to be had during the summer when there is a water hose around.

Foxy isn't a big fan of the water.  She usually will run behind the guys just out of the water.  She usually ends up wet, but only bc she forgot there was water and ran to attack someone.

Sunny cut his paw at some point during the playing and I didn't discover this until I started mopping up the wet paw prints and saw a bloody one.  He is doing ok though I soaked it and he is laying down getting some rest.

Here is the office nearly finished with it! YAY!  I really like the pink it isn't too bright or too light.  It is neat when you look in some parts of the day the color looks purple from the hall.

I've had my moments...

I've painted the office now all I have to do is cut in the ceiling and do some of the corners.  It looks oh so pretty :) and pink.

I was going to bring a desk up that isn't getting painted before it goes in the room, but while bringing it inside I dropped it on my big toe.  That wasn't on the list of to do and now I have a desk in my kitchen.  :-\  Yes I may move it before Andy gets home, but not today.  Today it is banished to some place other than my office.

I painted some of the other desk that is getting painted.  It looks pretty good I got bored painting it though and did some artwork on it that I'll have to paint over once I get some more paint.  I ran out :-(

My "garden" looks horrible and I think it is a loss.  /sigh oh well.

I have already swept the floors for today and already I have the urge to do it again because I see all the hair there again.  Dogs should shed less...or learn to sweep.

The funk & fun of being a first time home buyer

I was feeling ok when I got put on quarters now I'm feeling less like I feel good and more like I want to crawl into a cave.  I keep waking up with aches :( having no fun.

I'm supposed to keep the yard looking nice and hopefully keep the grass from dying.  We changed out our magnolia tree in the front for a japanese maple.  It is much smaller, but much cooler at the same time!  :)  I"ve started painting my desk that was a laminate wood and now parts of it is an off white.  So far it is looking nice but I've only done parts you can't see LOL I had to test it out first.  It will look really pretty with the pink I've picked for the office/craft room.

I have to sweep everyday to keep the dog hair to a minimum and even then its a lot of hair with three dogs.  I'm currently trying to come up with a cleaning schedule to get on and stick to.  right now though there is so much still to be put away and three rooms left to paint.  Well 4 really, but I'm not going to paint the downstairs bedroom for a while.  Plus I need to put blinds up and stuff.  Once I get the rooms finished.  :-\
